A circle of light
A table of feasting
Noble hounds lay at our feet
I looked and you did not turn your gaze away
We spoke, and ate
Then later sped across open fields
Upon a rushing steed

Yet and still, how we accepted winter’s worn lineaments
Arrayed each moment in time’s flicker-shudder
Irreproachable, untouched virgin
Holds in voiceless, senseless void
As they arrived, each element accepted
The web of life softly spun on rays of sun
The Faerie Queen, bedecked with all living things
Now the age is arrived once again
Reality, our shimmering illusion
Brightens at the touch of Shiva’s dancing feet
Staring out from the water’s depths
The ripples of the cascading wave
Over the brink to the shore, or lands afar
